The Escape Chair ST-B is a manual evacuation chair designed to move people down stairs in a seated position. It can be operated by one person and is ready to use within seconds. Its glide and brake system works on different stair surfaces, from wood to concrete. Braking combines the evacuee's weight with the operator's downward pressure on the handle, allowing the user to determine the speed of descent. The maximum payload is 225 kg and the maximum stair gradient is 45°. The chair has a single ergonomic backrest and a closed gliding belt cassette. A 5-language user manual, photoluminescent identity sign, flame retardant dust cover and wall hooks are included; a footrest is optional. Folded dimensions are 105 x 51 x 18 cm (height x width x depth). Non-wearing parts carry a 10-year warranty.
